HMRC Interim pay run error (1046) #
When you click Pay run > Redo, the FPS and EPS are generated and submitted to the HMRC test server (not the live production server). If you see the following error, it is because the HMRC test server is experiencing a problem. There is no issue with your credentials.
HMRC acknowledgment: Authentication Failure. The supplied user credentials failed validation for the requested service. (1046) errors
This error will not interrupt any work you need to progress in paiyroll® – we suggest you continue working until it is resolved on the HMRC side. You will need to wait until HMRC correct the error before approving any pay runs.
Please wait for a period e.g. an hour and retry.

If you see the following errors, this is likely due to the HMR server not responding. Please wait for a period e.g. an hour and retry.
