Overview

paiyroll® is a highly automated multi-user pay and benefits system for any country. Key concepts are outlined here.

CLIENT Client: is the top-level and includes administrators

  • COMPANY Companies are attached to a client

    • EMPLOYEE Employees are attached to a company

Pay Templates are provided for every type of pay

  • Pay Definitions are created from Pay Templates and attached to a company

  • Pay Schemes are special Pay Definitions used to centralise information like pensions

    • Pay Items are are created from Pay Definitions and attached to each employee

PAY_ITEM_EDITOR Pay Item Editor allows interactive changes to employee Pay Items and viewing of live payslips

All Pay types have Input, Output and State. Each Input also includes a source of data (person, role etc.) and when email and SMS prompts are sent

Report Templates are provided for every type of report

  • Report Definitions are created from Report Templates and attached to a company

MY_DATA_FEEDS My data feeds are a special form of a report that can be used to feed data into paiyroll®

Workflows are a core part of the system:

  • Timesheets and Absence (holiday, sickness) workflows are used for employees to book and obtain manager approval

  • Report workflows automate the running of reports

PAY_RUNS Pay run workflows operate the pay run and run reports

  • Pay schedules are defined for every frequency (weekly, monthly) and attached to a company

  • MY_DOCUMENTS My documents is a folder that contains all the reports generated by a pay run

MY_TASKS My tasks show the number of to-do items including re-running a pay run

MY_PROCESSES My Processes lists all the workflows in the system

PAYROLL_DEBBIE Payroll Debbie is an automated assistant who runs tasks at certain times

IMPORT Importers can be used to set up paiyroll® by automatically importing data from other payroll systems

  • Click on the word paiyroll at the top of any screen to get back to the home menu

  • Because paiyroll® is browser based you can always use your browser Back button

  • Dates are in country independent ISO format YEAR-MONTH-DAY e.g. 2020-07-24 is 24 July 2020

  • The term Employee and Worker are used interchangeably

  • GB Liability is a special Pay Template used to prioritorise student loans and attachment of earnings

  • Clicking on the an icon e.g. PAYROLL_DEBBIE always takes you to the app

  • Clicking a hyperlink e.g. Payroll Debbie usually keeps you in the documentation, but may take you to the app
