Adding a Salary Sacrifice Pay Definition

To add a Salary sacrifice pay definition where an employee sacrifices some of their salary for a non-cash benefit, follow this guide.

  1. Company Set up > Pay definitions > Add
  2. Select the universal Deduction template
  3. Enter the Name and Description (the description appears on the payslip which may differ if you’d like alternative wording).

Next, complete the reuse policy and buss selection:

  1. Set the Reuse Policy as required
  2. Check all the Busses as below. IMPORTANT: These are the standard set that Pay definitions such as Payment, Per Unit (Shift) and Salary contribute positive values to. Because a salary sacrifice would detract from those values, it would be usual to use the same. However, there may be circumstances where you may need to vary these.
