Driver Recruitment Software (DRS) RUH, DNI and SelfBill

2 min read

Follow this guide to automate additional payments and deductions such as RUH (Rolled Up Holiday), DNICharge (Driver’s Negligence Insurance) and SelfBCharge (Self Bill Charge) from DRS.

You will create new pay definition(s) and configure the data feed accordingly.

RUH (Rolled Up Holiday) #

Company setup > Pay Definitions > Add new Pay Definition(s) e.g. RUH 1, RUH 2 etc. based on the Per unit Pay Template:

Note that the Pay Definition Pay, rated output is pre-configured for Gross pay and can therefore be used as-is.

If you have many numbered variants, you may find it easier to create one, then download it Company setup > Pay Definitions > Download. Open the spreadsheet and delete all the other irrelevant Pay Definitions, and then create as many numbered variants as you need – for example:

Save the file (XLSX, CSV or ODF) and then upload in Company setup > Pay Definitions > Upload.

My data feeds > click on the name of the DRS Data feed (or Company setup > Report Definitions > Update). Enter the Pay Definition in Other and click Update:

Run the DRS data feed to pull over any rolled-up holiday pay.

DNICharge (Driver’s Negligence Insurance) and SelfBCharge (Self Bill Charge) #

The process for adding these is similar to RUH above, but you will only need a single Pay Definition.

Add new Pay Definition(s) which must be named DNICharge 1 and/ or SelfBCharge 1 and based on the Per unit Pay Template and click Add:

Generally, these pay items are net pay, so you will need to change the Pay, rated output as below to subtract from Gross pay, .Net pay and Additon to net pay [adding as the value is negative for HMRC reporting].

My data feeds > click on the name of the DRS Data feed (or Company setup > Report Definitions > Update). Enter the Pay Definition in Other2 and Other3 and click Update:

Finally, run the DRS data feed to pull over these values which appear in their own tab(s):
