Pay Reference Periods (PRP)

< 1 min read

The Pay Reference Period (PRP) for automatic enrolment is the period in which the worker is paid, not the period in which their pay is earned.

Examples #

  • For monthly-paid employees working from the 1st to the 31st of the month, paid on the 28th of the month, the PRP is the same as the earning period.
  • For weekly paid workers with an earnings period Monday to Sunday (Week 1), paid in arrears the following Friday (Week 2), their PRP is Week 2, not Week 1.
