Follow this guide to report a car or fuel benefit which replaces the P46. You must also add a separate pay item to calculate the taxable BIK.
Pay Definition #
Setup > Pay Definitions> Add…
Select the Company and GB Car and Fuel Template
Click Add
Pay Item #
- Pay Item Editor
- + Create Pay Item and select the GB Car and Fuel Pay Item for the employee.
- Move your cursor over each input and check the tooltips (as shown below). Then enter each field (there are many!)
Click Update/View Payslip.
If everything has been ended correctly, the normal payslip will show.
If there are any errors, you will need to correct the relevant field(s). Repeat until all errors have been cleared
Add BIK Pay Item #
Important: this Pay Item only replaces the P46 form; it does not calculate the taxable benefit..
You must add a benefit-in-kind pay template and BIK Pay item to calculate the tax.
